How to make things better

Asides

Government will almost always lag behind business, because it is too slow moving.

Government will almost always lag behind the will of the more progressive population, because it doesn’t want to lose votes from the ones with inertia, or a vested interested in the status quo. (This used to be OK: having government trundle slowly ensured a slow steady progression which allowed all the scouts and pioneers enough time to find absolutely the best way to proceed and report back. This is no longer an acceptable since the world has picked up the pace and they HAVE to act faster.)

Markets are inefficient, full of duplication, and waste.

People are generally willfully ignorant, un(der)informed, have no interest in change, averse to risk, or stick to anachronistic mindsets.

So we can not trust governments, markets, or populations to be the agents of change…

Therefore I would humbly like to submit myself as a new benign dictator.

All in favour say ‘aye’. Oh… wait… no… we don’t have to do that anymore. Ok ok… anyone NOT in favour, send in your concerns and I’ll have them worked into the Grand New Future.
