Juliane Koepcke

Juliane Koepcke (born 10 October 1954), also known by her married name Juliane Diller, is a German Peruvian mammalogist. As a teenager in 1971, Koepcke was the sole survivor of the LANSA Flight 508 plane crash, then survived ten days alone in the Amazon rainforest.

Susan Kuhnhausen fought for her life when a hitman tried to kill her in a murder-for-hire plot. He didn’t survive. After finishing a shift at Providence Portland Medical Center as an emergency room nurse, Susan Kuhnhausen headed to her home in Southeast Portland.
