Here’s a thought: Misery is always visceral, whereas happiness can take (at least) 2 forms: the visceral (the funktionslust of mind and body working in invigorating and focused harmony), and the intellectual.

It’s a bit annoying to realise that the intellectual form is both the most common for most of us, and can be swept away in an instant with another thought.
