Capitalism .. It’s like musical chairs. The trouble with that game is that most people spend their time not usefully participating1 and the winners have to go faster and be more aggressive.

it’s up to you to choose if the no-longer-playing are sitting comfy on the chairs extracted from the game (unlikely because they were losers), or if they chairs are sitting in a pile in the corner (landfill) because that’s what’s easiest for the game master. ↩︎
