The best way to survive the 21st century is together. The way we do things today does not need to be, nor can it be, the way we do things tomorrow.

I’d like to take a moment to remind everyone (especially in the USA) that it is our sociopathic craving for oil which is driving this, and scape-goating BP merely displaces the responsibility from those who demand the lowest cost oil (at all costs), and the governments who allow it.

BP were just unlucky to be the first to screw up since social media and an increased awareness of the environment.

Many vow not to buy BP petrol or products again and express visceral anger towards the oil firm.

BBC News – Just how angry are people at BP?

I agree wholeheartedly with a boycott of oil products and oil use, but don’t target one company, target them all — which is to say, target your own behaviours.

We all caused this, and we should begin by recognising our role and taking responsibility for our actions.
