The best way to survive the 21st century is together. The way we do things today does not need to be, nor can it be, the way we do things tomorrow.

In addition to a photo of this alarming and somehow still legal poster, there’s a jolly good lecture about capitalism and communism over at Leninology (via Sophie).

The lecture is given by Richard Wolff, the Professor of Economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, so he makes a well reasoned and very self-aware argument.

I share his hope that we can use this time of financial and environmental crisis as an opportunity for a reappraisal and renaissance.

It’s 40 minutes long so make a sandwich and a cup of tea and enjoy the lecture.
